Hello! I know it has been awhile since I posted. I have been working on items to sell for a class I am teaching next Thursday and a crafts fair coming up. My local library has started hosting a monthly scrapbookers play day, basically a 9 to 5 crop! I got to go last month and I am going this month. Well the crop is Monday. I have found it easier for me to make page kits a head of time that way I save on space and weight. Plus I don't bring a lot of extra stuff. Here is my step by step process on how I make my page kits.
1. Pick my photos- For right now I am focusing on finishing my 2011 book!
2. Pick a sketch- when I scrap at home I don't always use a sketch but it makes page kits easier to make if I already have a plan so I either use a page maps #1 sketch or a original sketch by me!
3. Pick background pages
4. Pick paper to mat photos.
5. Pick patterned papers.
6. Pick die cuts.
7. Pick stickers.
8. Pick other embellishments- such as washi tape, ribbon, twine, or glitter.
9. Make cricut cuts- I don't bring my cricut to crops.
10. Make punched pieces-I dont bring punches to crops either I have heard to many horror stories.
I always bring:
letter stickers
brads/flowers
bling
buttons
all adhesive
all cling stamps
favorite wood stamps
all inks
journaling pens
trimmer and scissors
spray inks
sketches and sketchbook
craft mat
Everyone has their own system. Mine works for me. I hope this inspired you to find your system and please share it with me. Thanks for reading! Happy Friday!
