How I Pack For A Crop

When I go to a crop I bring 3 bags; my scrapbooking caddy, mt rolling tote, and my paper tote. My scrapbooking caddy has all my adhesive, scissors, markers, journaling pens, corner rounder, my punches, spray inks, glitter glue, favorite wooden stamps, and some journaling cards. My rolling tote has my laptop and cords, letter stickers, bling, mouse pad (from brads), inks, my artbin with: brads, flowers, a small alphabet stamp set, buttons, and veneers, my craft mat, trimmer, and clear stamps. My paper tote has my page kits in it. This crop I did not use my laptop much or my stamps but I will still continue to bring them.

Review of Xtron Mega Runner

I recently bought this tape gun because my ATG gun stopped working right. I love this gun so much more! It is smaller and lighter then the ATG. The refills are so easy to put in and the tape strip is wider and stickier. It also has a guard over the tape piece. From me this was a better move. Now I wish I had not wasted all that time on the ATG Gun. Xyron is definitely the way to go!

How I Make a Page Kit

Hello! I know it has been awhile since I posted. I have been working on items to sell for a class I am teaching next Thursday and a crafts fair coming up. My local library has started hosting a monthly scrapbookers play day, basically a 9 to 5 crop! I got to go last month and I am going this month. Well the crop is Monday. I have found it easier for me to make page kits a head of time that way I save on space and weight. Plus I don't bring a lot of extra stuff. Here is my step by step process on how I make my page kits.
1. Pick my photos- For right now I am focusing on finishing my 2011 book!
2. Pick a sketch- when I scrap at home I don't always use a sketch but it makes page kits easier to make if I already have a plan so I either use a page maps #1 sketch or a original sketch by me!
3. Pick background pages
4. Pick paper to mat photos.
5. Pick patterned papers.
6. Pick die cuts.
7. Pick stickers.
8. Pick other embellishments- such as washi tape, ribbon, twine, or glitter.
9. Make cricut cuts- I don't bring my cricut to crops.
10. Make punched pieces-I dont bring punches to crops either I have heard to many horror stories.

I always bring:
letter stickers
brads/flowers
bling
buttons
all adhesive
all cling stamps
favorite wood stamps
all inks
journaling pens
trimmer and scissors
spray inks
sketches and sketchbook
craft mat

Everyone has their own system. Mine works for me. I hope this inspired you to find your system and please share it with me. Thanks for reading! Happy Friday!

Grad Gift and Bestie Plaque

The above plaque I made for my best friend Laura. She is obsessed with elephants! The distressing happened by accident. I dropped the ink pad on the plaque (oops!) but loved the look so I blotted the whole thing!

One of my co-workers is graduating in just a couple of weeks. I made her five graduation announcements as her gift. She asked for purple penguins wearing a graduation cap. So that is what she got. The penguin is from create a critter and the cap is from a childs year.
